[PONS Founder: Buyback and Burn Automation Achieved, New Mechanism to Claim Funds Every 7 Days] BlockBeats News, October 3 – PONS founder Ozzy (@MEADGod) responded to community users' concerns regarding the buyback and burn mechanism and apologized for misunderstandings in previous communications. Earlier, user yyy published a post questioning PONS's buyback mechanism, including whether funds in the escrow account need to be manually transferred to the buyback allocator, why funds had not entered the buyback allocator for over 5 days, the current buyback and burn rate of approximately $120,000 per day, and whether the previously promised automatic claim function for escrow funds had been implemented. Ozzy acknowledged that some of the concerns were valid. He stated that the current buyback and burn rate has not yet been adjusted and that the "claim" process had not been fully decentralized in the past. He explained that the team is upgrading the contract, and the new buyback mechanism is designed to claim funds every 7 days. The claimed funds will then be used for buyback and burn over the following 7 days in a continuous cycle. Currently, all buyback and burn operations have been automated, and anyone can trigger the bot to execute the relevant operations and receive a small reward. The primary adjustment needed now is the buyback and burn rate. Previously, the buyback rate was set at 2 ETH per hour. Considering the approximately $950,000 in the Splitter (funds distribution contract) and the 7-day cycle arrangement, this rate aligns with the current fund scale. Additionally, fund claims will also be automatically executed every 7 days. In the future, buyback funds will be displayed in two sections: the Active Buyback Vault for ongoing buybacks and the reserved buyback funds for the next cycle. Ozzy expressed gratitude to community users for their feedback and once again apologized for responding without fully understanding the issues earlier. Community user yyy subsequently accepted the apology and stated that a more decentralized and automated claim and buyback burn mechanism is a crucial foundation for building community trust.
