[Pons Founder: The New PONS Buyback Mechanism Will Claim Funds Every 7 Days and Complete Buyback and Burn in the Following 7 Days] Odaily Planet Daily News - Pons founder Ozzy responded on the X platform to community concerns regarding the PONS buyback and burn mechanism, stating that the current burn rate has indeed not been adjusted and the 'Claim' process has yet to achieve full decentralization. He mentioned that on-chain contract upgrades are underway, with the new buyback mechanism planned to execute a Claim every 7 days, followed by using all claimed funds for buyback and burning PONS within the next 7 days, and then repeating the cycle to establish a more sustainable buyback and burn mechanism. Currently, all buyback and burn operations have been automated. Anyone can trigger the bot and receive a small reward for doing so. He further explained that the previously set buyback and burn rate was 2e per hour. Considering the current fund scale of approximately $950,000 in the Splitter (fund diversion contract), this rate aligns with the 7-day buyback cycle. After funds are claimed, they will also be automatically executed according to the 7-day cycle. Therefore, buyback funds will be displayed in two separate sections: one is the Active Buyback Vault (fund pool currently undergoing buyback), and the other is the reserve for the next week's buyback funds. Previously, crypto analyst yyy posted on the X platform, stating that Pons had not replenished funds to the buyback distributor for over 5 days, with approximately $440,000 in unclaimed funds accumulating in the custodian account. The analyst argued that untimely fund claims have led to a slower PONS burn rate recently and called for decentralization in the process of claiming funds from the custodian account.
