🇺🇸CONCERN: Buyers are DISAPPEARING from long-term US bonds, as yields hit their highest level since 2002.
Investors have been on a "buyers' strike" for 10- to 30-year Treasuries since late June, per CNBC.
In one Treasury buyback, holders tried to sell back $36 BILLION of bonds when the government wanted just $2 BILLION.
The Treasury then tripled its buybacks to as much as $6 BILLION, but yields kept rising.
The 10-year yield hit 5.34% this week.
