UN Women said in a report on Oct. 2 that ongoing Middle East tensions have disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, lifting global food prices and straining livelihoods. The report projects that by end-2026 roughly 22 mln additional people could face food insecurity, about 53% (11.7 mln) of them women.(金十)
