According to Wu Blockchain, Chainalysis has released an update on the $387 million security incident involving Bitget, attributing the attack to North Korea-linked threat actors. Within the first three hours after the attack, the stolen funds were moved across 23 transactions to Ethereum, XRP, Zcash, and Tron, with respective proportions of 49.7%, 40.8%, 7.6%, and 1.8%. Chainalysis stated that their investigation team utilized an internal AI-powered automated cross-chain tracking tool, reducing over 20 hours of manual bridging and reconciliation work to under 10 minutes, while continuing to monitor the stolen funds and flag associated addresses. The company noted that this incident has pushed the total amount of crypto theft linked to North Korea in 2026 to over $1 billion.
