SIL is a project I participated in five years ago, and it is also the only project I have actually participated in in in the cryptocurrency industry. This idea was proposed by me, and I was one of the main participants in the early stages. I have never denied it. The idea at that time was very simple, it was to "pool LP": a normal group LP requires two currencies, and I thought about whether we could have two people each contribute one currency, pair them to make LP, and earn transaction fees together. Impermanent loss is actually a long short bet between two parties. My idea was to have a commission subsidy for the bet at the same time. At that time, I thought this idea was quite good, so I found some friends to do it together. But unexpectedly, on the first day of its launch, it was hacked and truly encountered the so-called 'DeFi Dark Forest'. Fortunately, with the help of various parties such as SlowMist, the money was recovered in less than a week. At that time, we also gave some rewards to the white hat hacker. This matter was already in the news back then, not something I just brought up today. After experiencing this, I withdrew from the project. You should know, that was five years ago when DeFi just became popular. At that time, everyone, including myself, had no concept of hackers, DeFi dark forests, and the extent of on chain risks. Listening to others say there is a risk is completely different from experiencing it yourself. After this incident, I feel that this kind of risk is beyond my estimation and control. Creating a product, proposing an idea, and ensuring the security of a large amount of user funds are two different things. Something really went wrong, I can't take responsibility for it. So later on, I chose to withdraw and did not pursue any other projects. I remember that after I withdrew, SIL continued to operate for a year to a year and a half, while other partners, who were the technical leaders at the time, continued to work on it. As we enter a bear market, the number of participants decreases. In my impression, this project was eventually shut down peacefully, and I don't remember any users being unable to withdraw their money. As for what you said about investors losing money, it's true, there's nothing to avoid about this. If you are talking about project investment losses, then that statement is not wrong. But investment losses and project runaway are two different things. I'm not sure if you or BitMart actually invested or how much they invested back then. I estimate that even if I invest, it may only be 50000 to 100000 US dollars, based on the investment and payment records of that year. If it is verified that BitMart has indeed invested in SIL, I am personally willing to refund the outstanding principal of up to 100000 U. But this money is definitely not directly given to Shart personally, but will be received by a third party designated or recognized by the court to handle BitMart assets in accordance with the law after the court makes a judgment. I can refund the verified investment amount to this third party and include it in the subsequent asset disposal. This is the promise I publicly made on Twitter.
