BG's latest 'Companion Program' comes with a prize pool worth tens of millions, giving users a chance to share rewards through trading and holding assets. After the recent security incident, the top concerns for everyone are definitely asset protection and withdrawal recovery. According to the official announcement, Bitget has initiated emergency measures, advanced security fixes, and outlined a phased plan for withdrawal recovery. In my opinion, being willing to continuously disclose progress and take responsibility after an issue arises is commendable. However, trust ultimately depends on execution—it can't just rely on promotional rewards to prove itself. This 'Companion Program' seems to be a way to give back to users beyond addressing the issue: 30% of the net transaction fees retained from non-institutional users will be allocated to the prize pool, with 60% for trading rewards and 40% for asset rewards. The event runs from September 28, 16:00 to October 26, 16:00 Beijing time, lasting a total of 28 days. How much are the rewards? Based on the estimates provided in the infographic, if you maintain the corresponding tier for 28 consecutive days: - For trading: - Daily trading volume of $10K–$30K: estimated total reward ~32.15 USDT - $50K–$150K: ~157.92 USDT - $150K–$300K: ~387.12 USDT - For assets: - Daily assets of $10K–$30K: estimated ~14.4 USDT - $50K–$250K: ~86.6 USDT - $250K–$750K: ~345.9 USDT Important to note: these are cumulative estimates over 28 days, not daily payouts, nor are they guaranteed fixed returns. Actual rewards depend on the prize pool size, your effective trading volume and asset proportion, as well as the participation of other users. There's also a detail about asset calculation: it's based on the lowest asset value from hourly snapshots each day, so transferring a large amount temporarily won't count as holding it for the entire day. For users who already trade or hold assets on BG, you can check how much you might earn. But there's no need to increase trading just to hit a higher tier, and definitely don't use leverage for the sake of rewards—consider fees, slippage, and market losses. It's a positive gesture to allocate resources to reward users. However, my main focus will remain on whether the promised security improvements and service recovery are delivered.
