According to Bloomberg, data center operator Firmus Grid Ltd. has set its IPO price at AUD 11 per share, implying a valuation of approximately AUD 43.7 billion (around USD 30.3 billion), lower than the previous high expectation of AUD 50 billion. The company's book-building process will take place from October 6 to 9, with a planned listing on the Australian Securities Exchange on October 23, potentially becoming one of Australia's largest IPOs. Firmus plans to use the funds raised to purchase GPUs and develop its Batam Island data center project in Indonesia, in collaboration with DayOne Data Centers and supported by NVIDIA. Firmus started in 2019 in Tasmania, Australia, with a Bitcoin mining business and is now transitioning to AI data center infrastructure.
