[U.S. Police Arrest Two Suspects Impersonating Couriers in Home Invasion Robberies Targeting Crypto Holders]
According to the San Jose Police Department (SJPD), two men from Dallas, Texas, Damian Vielma (20 years old) and Jeremiah Clybourn (19 years old), were arrested for allegedly impersonating couriers in an attempted armed home invasion robbery. On the evening of September 5, 2026, at approximately 9:30 PM, the two suspects attempted to deliver a package to a residence in southern San Jose. One of them was wearing a ski mask and brandished a firearm before fleeing in a vehicle. Investigations by the SJPD Robbery Unit revealed that the suspects typically disguised themselves as couriers and targeted individuals holding significant amounts of cryptocurrency. The case may also involve incidents in other areas, such as Atherton. On September 24, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service, Dallas Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and the SJPD Covert Response Unit, the two suspects were apprehended in Dallas. Multiple firearms, including the weapon used in the crime, were seized at the scene.
