According to a report by The Defiant, EIP-8363 co-author Jérôme de Tychey has officially withdrawn the proposal to include the Ethereum staking rewards burn mechanism in the Hegotá hard fork upgrade. The proposal originally aimed to introduce a burn mechanism for validator rewards that increases with the total amount staked, in order to prevent excessive staking ratios from threatening Ethereum's neutrality and monetary properties. However, multiple parties, including Aave founder Stani Kulechov, etherfi CEO Mike Silagadze, and core contributors from Lido, opposed the proposal, arguing that reducing rewards could force individual solo stakers to exit and benefit large institutions. The Ethereum Foundation also previously stated that a fork scheduling process is not the appropriate venue for finalizing issuance policies. The proposal team has announced plans to collaborate with ecosystem partners like Lido on independent discussions about issuance policies and intends to further advance negotiations during Devcon in November. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/news-69362
