[Philippine Central Bank Restricts Fiat Deposit Channels for Local Crypto Exchange Coins.ph] Odaily Planet Daily reports, citing an internal notice from PPMI, that the Philippine Central Bank has imposed partial suspension measures on DCPay Philippines, the electronic money operating entity behind Coins.ph. The measures prohibit DCPay from receiving external funds via InstaPay and PESONet. This restriction targets DCPay's peso payment and settlement operations. Coins.ph's crypto trading business, operated by another licensed entity, Betur Inc., has not been directly suspended, but users depositing funds via local banks will be affected. The regulatory directive still allows DCPay to process outbound transfers and QRPh merchant payments. Coins.ph's status page indicates that the related deposit services are under maintenance, while withdrawals remain normal.
