[U.S. CFTC Holds Fundsz Fraud Case Accountable: Two Key Members Ordered to Pay Over $30 Million]
According to The Block, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced that it has obtained a court ruling in the Fundsz fraud case, requiring defendants Brian Early and Alisha Ann Kingrey to pay over $30 million in fines.
According to the CFTC statement, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida issued a default judgment against Early and Kingrey. The court found that, as board members of Fundsz-related entities and administrators of Telegram groups, the two had made false statements regarding the platform's expected returns, historical trading performance, and investment risks. They also claimed that user funds could be traded using a "proprietary algorithm" to generate interest income.
