**[Google Releases Gemini 4 Argon Model, Focused on Complex Reasoning and AI Programming Capabilities]**
According to a report by Golden Finance, on October 1, Google (GOOG.O) subsidiary DeepMind unveiled its next-generation cutting-edge model, Gemini 4 Argon. The model is said to deliver advanced performance in complex tasks such as software engineering, enterprise knowledge work (including legal and financial domains), and cybersecurity defense.
Google stated that Gemini 4 Argon is currently being made available to select trusted cybersecurity defense personnel through the "Fairwind Program" and will gradually be rolled out to developers, enterprises, and consumers after further security measures are refined. The initial pricing for the model is set at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with cached input tokens priced 95% lower than regular input tokens.
The company noted that Argon supports a maximum output length of 1 million tokens, significantly higher than the previous limit of 64,000 tokens, enabling it to handle longer and more complex tasks. Google revealed that Argon has already been utilized for internal code development, research, and engineering optimization tasks, including assisting the quantum computing team in algorithm optimization, analyzing data center operational data, and freeing up over 300 TiB of memory resources.
In software engineering, Google reported that Gemini 4 Argon achieved a score of 77.9% in the DeepSWE v1.1 real-world software engineering test and demonstrated leading performance in evaluations across financial research, legal research, and enterprise automation fields.
In the cybersecurity domain, Google stated that Argon is capable of autonomously identifying, verifying, and fixing software vulnerabilities, achieving a score of 68% in the CWE-bench v1 vulnerability repair test, tying for first place among top-tier models.
Before full public release, Google plans to continue enhancing measures to prevent misuse, protect against prompt injection attacks, monitor model behavior, and implement secure sandboxing. Google announced that Gemini 4 Argon will subsequently be made available to paid API customers and Google AI Ultra users.
