The Kay Hagan Tick Reauthorization Act, legislation reauthorizing CDC funding for five years for lyme and other tick-borne disease research, was signed into law today by President Trump. The bill, which was named after the late Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC) who passed away in 2019 due to complications from the Powassan tick-borne virus, was approved by the Senate in August and the House earlier this month both by voice votes.
