Here are a few reasons: 1. Most people don’t have high demands for video content; they care more about understanding what’s being said. So improving real-time accuracy and translation quality is more important than visuals, especially since the visuals are just a few people talking. 2. Having both Chinese and English subtitles turned on doesn’t make much sense. For most people, reading the Chinese subtitles is enough. Plus, YouTube subtitles can’t be read aloud, whereas my version will include a text-to-speech feature in the next update. This means you can completely multitask while listening to the Chinese narration without needing to watch the Fed’s livestream. It saves time—you can just "listen" to the key points. PS: The latest version has already added the text-to-speech feature. 3. For those who enjoy sharing content, the Fed’s updates are a great source to share, especially if you can add your own explanations. That’s why I’ve included a copy feature for every segment, allowing you to turn the speech into text and copy-paste it easily for sharing. 4. The delay issue is indeed important. I’ll look into optimization methods in the next version. 5. And here’s something even more important: many people on X with Blue Verified accounts are Grok members but might not have ChatGPT memberships.
