According to *The Korea Times*, Oh Kyoung-suk, CEO of Dunamu, the operator of South Korea's largest crypto exchange Upbit, stated at KBW 2026 that the company’s next phase will no longer be limited to the Korean crypto trading market. Instead, they aim to connect South Korea’s massive digital asset user base and liquidity to the global on-chain financial system. Dunamu plans to build shared infrastructure, enabling banks, brokerages, payment providers, and fintech companies to conduct compliant on-chain financial operations without having to develop their own trading, custody, asset transfer, and anti-money laundering systems. Dunamu said its partnership with Naver Financial will be the first step, with the goal of linking Web3 financial infrastructure to Web2 users and payment scenarios like those of Naver. The two parties previously agreed on a comprehensive stock swap arrangement, but the related transaction is still awaiting approval from South Korean regulators. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/upbit-operator-dunamu-ceo-connects-korea-users-liquidity-to-global-onchain-markets-69274
