Last night, saw $ETH climb back above 2700 again, forming a small double bottom. As usual, I chased the long entry, but looking at the 4H chart, it’s likely heading into another frustrating consolidation phase. Really don’t like this kind of setup for breakout trades. After topping at 2806, it’s now oscillating within the red box. 2806 is strong resistance above, while support is around 2630-2620 below. This is the downside of breakout trading—if it doesn’t take off, it just grinds. A tight stop loss of about 2 points during the moving average chop phase is super prone to getting hit by wicks. If you can endure, you stand out; if not, you’re out. Won’t add to the position unless there’s a clear breakout above 2806 with volume. Will this wave dip lower first or V-reverse for a breakout? Let’s chat in the comments!
