OpenAI Launches Persistent AI Agent 'dots' and Plans to Raise at Least $30 Billion at a Valuation of Approximately $1.4 Trillion

Foresight News reports that OpenAI has launched a persistent AI agent called 'dots,' directly competing with Meta's Muse. Dots operates on the GPT-6-based Astra model and can interact with users via ChatGPT, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. It is capable of performing tasks such as research, document drafting, and software development by controlling computers and invoking third-party applications. OpenAI has also introduced a premium subscription priced at $500 per month, which is five times the cost of Muse's highest-tier plan, while adjusting the usage rights of its $200 subscription plan. Meanwhile, according to Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the matter, OpenAI is seeking to raise at least $30 billion at a valuation of approximately $1.4 trillion as a bridge round following the postponement of its IPO. Discussions are still in the early stages. OpenAI's previous funding round was completed in March of this year, with a valuation of $852 billion.
