[Aztec Relaunches zk.money Privacy Wallet on Its Ethereum L2 Network] According to The Block, Aztec Labs has relaunched the self-custodial wallet zk.money, which supports private encrypted payments, after discontinuing the original product in 2023. The new version operates on the Aztec Network, the company's Ethereum Layer 2 network focused on privacy protection. Aztec stated that, unlike standard Ethereum wallets, zk.money does not publish users' balances, payment amounts, or counterparty information on the public ledger. The initial version of zk.money was launched in 2021 but was discontinued in 2023 when Aztec Labs shifted its focus to building the Aztec Network.
