[Lumia Initiates Governance Proposal LGP-01: Plans Full Buyback of HyperNode Rewards and Establishes Growth Fund]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on September 30, the Lumia community has opened voting on the LGP-01 proposal. The proposal suggests that the Lumia Foundation treasury conduct a one-time full buyback of the remaining undistributed rewards for HyperNode (super nodes) over the next approximately 18 years at a fixed price of 0.09 USDT per LUMIA (a premium of over 10% compared to the time-weighted average price on the 30th). Upon completion of the buyback, the original node reward program will be officially terminated.
All LUMIA tokens recovered through the buyback will be transferred to the newly established Lumia Foundation Growth Initiative (LFGI), which will be dedicated to building real-world asset (RWA) infrastructure, sovereign-level blockchain collaborations, and long-term ecosystem expansion. The proposal does not involve the issuance of new tokens, and the total supply of LUMIA will remain unchanged.
If the proposal is approved, the claim window will open within 30 days of approval and remain open for 90 days. The buyback payments will be settled in USDT on the Ethereum network and may require compliance identity verification (KYC) through embarkAI.
Voting is currently open to LUMIAp holders, and the voting window will close at 16:00 UTC on October 2, 2026.
