⚡️UPDATE: “Crypto Mom” Hester Peirce is set to RESIGN from the SEC effective October 2. Peirce, one of the agency’s most prominent crypto advocates, has served at the SEC since 2018 and currently leads its crypto task force. She had pro-crypto stance and dissents against several Biden-era enforcement actions targeting digital asset companies. Her departure would leave SEC Chair Paul Atkins and Commissioner Mark Uyeda as the agency’s only remaining commissioners. Peirce is expected to join Regent University School of Law as an associate professor in November.
