[Hong Kong SAR Government Issues Fourth Batch of Digital Green Bonds Worth Approximately HKD 20 Billion, Setting a Global Record] According to a report by Jinse Finance on September 29, the Hong Kong SAR Government announced via a press release that it has successfully priced the fourth batch of digital green bonds worth approximately HKD 20 billion equivalent. The bonds, denominated in Hong Kong dollars, Renminbi, US dollars, and Euros, set a new global record for the largest digital bond issuance. The bonds were priced on September 28 as follows: HKD 5.5 billion for a 2-year term at 3.80%, RMB 7.5 billion for a 5-year term at 1.65%, USD 200 million for a 3-year term at 5.023%, and EUR 450 million for a 4-year term at 3.734%. Subscription amounts for the four currencies ranged from 1.3 to 11.3 times. This issuance, facilitated by EnsembleTX, introduced tokenized deposits in the primary settlement of Hong Kong dollar bonds, marking the world's first digital bonds to include tokenized Hong Kong dollar deposits.
