Crypto payment company MoonPay has launched its South Korean subsidiary, MoonPay Korea, and plans to make South Korea the hub for its APAC business expansion. MoonPay has partnered with KakaoBank, Woori Bank, and KB Financial Group, with plans covering cross-border payments, Korean won stablecoin distribution, wallets, and crypto asset on/off ramps. Previously, MoonPay signed an MOU with Woori Bank to support the global distribution of Korean won stablecoins, cross-border settlements, wallet integration, and currency exchange infrastructure.
