[Analysts Predict 10-Year U.S. Treasury Yield to Rise to 6%, Say Bitcoin Bull Market Need Not Panic]
According to a report by Golden Finance on September 29, citing CoinDesk, some analysts predict that the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield will rise to 6%. However, for Bitcoin, the "reason" behind the yield increase is more important than the level itself. Markus Thielen from 10x Research attributes this to fiscal concerns such as deficits and debt growth. Since the end of 2023, the yield has risen by 135 basis points to 5.23%, while Bitcoin has nearly doubled to $86,000 during the same period. If the increase is driven by investors demanding higher compensation for fiscal and inflation risks, it could weaken confidence in government debt and benefit alternative assets like Bitcoin. Conversely, if the rise is due to the Federal Reserve tightening policy, the effect would be the opposite: in 2022, the yield doubled to 3.88% following rapid rate hikes, and Bitcoin fell by 64%.
