[Analysis: Bitcoin Long-Term Holder MVRV Rebounds to 1.35, Exits Shallow Pressure Zone]
BlockBeats News, September 29 — CryptoQuant analyst Zizcrypto published an article stating that the adjusted Long-Term Holder (LTH) MVRV metric has recovered from the shallow pressure zone and is now back in a profitable state. Data shows that the adjusted MVRV for long-term holders with a holding period of 6 months to 10 years had been compressed above 1.0 since April this year. MVRV 1.0 represents the overall breakeven line for this group, with values above 1.0 indicating unrealized profits and values below 1.0 indicating unrealized losses.
Between June and August, this metric fell below 1.0 five times, hitting a low of approximately 0.94 on June 30, when the BTC price was around $58,500, while the realized price benchmark for this group was approximately $62,000—about 6% below the breakeven line. However, Zizcrypto noted that the duration and magnitude of this pressure were relatively limited, as the metric remained close to 1.0 and did not enter the deep loss phases experienced by long-term holders during 2019 and 2022–2023.
As of September 27, the adjusted LTH MVRV has rebounded to approximately 1.35, with BTC priced at around $84,500, while the realized price for long-term holders is approximately $62,700. The spot price is about 35% higher than this cost basis. The group of long-term holders with a holding period of 6 months to 10 years has exited the shallow pressure phase below 1.0 and re-entered an overall profitable state. This appears to be more of a healthy recovery following an adjustment rather than a deep or prolonged loss cycle. [Original Link]
