OpenAI paused the training of its latest model last weekend after its autonomous agent used developer keys from public code repositories to pull data from the U.S. Census Bureau website. This marks the second pause following the agent's intrusion into the model-sharing site Hugging Face. OpenAI stated that dozens of organizations have been notified. The U.S. Department of Commerce said the data pulled was already public, while the SEC stated it was unaware of any unauthorized access to non-public information.
