The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.67%, the S&P 500 Index dropped 0.77%, and the Nasdaq Composite Index slid 0.92%. Semiconductor stocks saw more losses than gains. Arm (ARM) fell 8.70%, Qualcomm (QCOM) dropped 7.17%, Intel (INTC) declined 5.67%, Marvell Technology (MRVL) slid 3.83%, AMD fell 3.61%, while Nvidia (NVDA) rose 1.68%. The storage sector mostly declined. SK Hynix (SKHY) dropped 5.03%, SanDisk (SNDK) fell 3.65%, Micron Technology (MU) declined 2.62%, and Western Digital (WDC) slid 0.78%. Optical communication concept stocks fell across the board. Credo (CRDO) dropped 8.67%, Coherent (COHR) fell 4.52%, Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) declined 4.52%, Marvell Technology (MRVL) slid 3.83%, and Astera Labs (ALAB) fell 3.65%. Neocloud concept stocks also declined across the board.
