[Bybit Accepts Franklin Templeton Tokenized Fund as Trading Collateral]
According to Deep Tide TechFlow on September 29, as reported by Cointelegraph, crypto exchange Bybit announced that it will accept the tokenized money market fund issued by Franklin Templeton as collateral for leveraged trading. In this initiative, eligible institutional investors can pledge fund shares through Franklin Templeton's Benji platform to obtain credit lines in stablecoins such as USDT or USDC, while the underlying assets remain in off-chain custody without needing to be transferred to the exchange. This move allows institutional users to continue holding fund shares and earning returns while leveraging tokenized shares for financing and trading.
Additionally, the two parties plan to develop a tokenized investment product targeting Bybit and Mantle network wallet users, though detailed information has not yet been disclosed. Currently, the global tokenized money market fund market size has exceeded $9 billion, with leading products such as BlackRock's BUIDL being adopted by numerous platforms.
