After Trump rejected the deal on Saturday, just now on Monday night, news broke that 'Trump is willing to offer sanctions relief to Iran in exchange for substantial progress on nuclear issues.' Bitcoin Currently, WTI has dropped below $93. At least there’s some expectation of peace talks, even though differences remain. Today, both Bitcoin and U.S. stock indices are down, especially Bitcoin, which fell below $83. The main reason is Trump’s rejection of the deal over the weekend, causing oil prices to spike to $96. The October rate hike expectation also surged to nearly 70%, leading to the drop. Just now, with the news of continued geopolitical peace talks, Bitcoin has slightly rebounded above $84. Next up, we have the end-of-month PCE data and next week’s non-farm payrolls, followed by oil prices. As long as oil prices can be brought down and the October rate hike expectation drops below 50%, the risk markets should recover. At least for now, with all the back-and-forth in geopolitics, there’s still an expectation that Trump will pursue peace talks. Oil prices are unlikely to climb back to very high levels (above WTI $95). If peace talks continue to progress and Strait passage stabilizes, oil prices will likely continue on a downward trend.
