[Polymarket to Open New CLOB Market Maker Testing in November, Plans to Complete Two Migration Drills]
Josh, Vice President of Polymarket, stated on the X platform that the team is fully focused on developing a full-scale central limit order book (CLOB) based on Rust. The current CLOB is the root cause of most issues on the platform. According to the plan, the testing environment in October will complete the full order lifecycle process, including trading, settlement, on-chain interactions, indexers, and engine notifications. In November, all production traffic will be mirrored to the new trading cluster, and results will be compared with the existing system. At the same time, testing permissions will be opened to market makers, and the migration switch plan will be finalized, with two complete drills conducted before the official switch.
Josh also mentioned that if progress goes smoothly, the new system will be officially launched afterward, with the migration expected to require no or minimal changes for market makers and developers.
