[DeFi Researcher Ignas: Currently, There Are Fewer Than 20 High-Quality Tokens in the Crypto Market with Revenue Support] Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on September 28, DeFi researcher Ignas posted that there are currently too few high-quality tokens in the crypto market with strong revenue support. Only about 20 projects have token holders earning daily revenues exceeding $50,000. After further considering valuation, token unlock schedules, and revenue sustainability, the number of viable options decreases even further. Some tokens may appear attractive, but their market cap to fully diluted valuation (MC/FDV) ratio is not ideal. As a result, one must bet on the demand growth rate outpacing the supply increase caused by token unlocks, making some tokens more suitable for trading rather than long-term holding. Ignas believes that for most tokens, investors are still trading on narratives and market sentiment, relying on the belief that project teams can deliver on their promises. With the recent dissolution of several DAOs, the so-called "decentralized" accountability mechanisms appear insufficient. However, this could also lead to capital and market attention becoming more concentrated on a few projects. There is hope for more projects that have already generated actual revenue to launch token generation events (TGE), citing VAR as an example, and also expressing hope that Polymarket adopts the TGE model.
