I see the same biggest mistake from beginners getting into memecoin trading:
- they deposit money in the trading app and on day one go all-in buying random coins
and most of the time, they put a huge part of their portfolio into brand new coins launched just a few hours ago
sure, those coins can actually do 10x
but you need to understand that higher upside always comes with higher risk
which means maybe only 1 out of 10 of those trades actually works
so you have to play this game differently
use small size on those high-risk plays, so you can give yourself as many attempts as possible
and make strong, established coins the core of your portfolio
ask yourself:
can something like ANSEM, solana:Ce2gx9KGXJ6C9Mp5b5x1sn9Mg87JwEbrQby4Zqo3pump or SPX still do 5x-10x from here?
what’s the probability?
70%? 60%?
now ask the same about some random new coin
10%?
so why the fuck would you put most of your portfolio into the new coin?
always compare upside to risk and choose the trades with the best ratio
and most importantly, don’t rush
rushing is probably one of the most destructive things you can do as a trader
