[Polymarket Plans to Restructure CLOB: Market Maker Testing Opens in November, Two Dry Runs to Be Completed Before Migration]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on September 28, Josh, Vice President of the prediction market platform Polymarket, stated on the X platform that the team is fully focused on developing a comprehensive central limit order book (CLOB) based on Rust. The current CLOB is the root cause of most issues on the platform. According to the plan, the complete order lifecycle processes—including trading, settlement, on-chain interactions, indexers, and engine notifications—will be finalized in the testing environment by October. In November, all production traffic will be mirrored to the new trading cluster and compared with the results from the existing system. At the same time, testing permissions will be opened to market makers, and the migration switch plan will be locked in, with two full dry runs completed before the official transition. Josh also mentioned that if progress goes smoothly, the new system will be officially launched afterward, with the migration expected to require no or minimal changes for market makers and developers.
