[Chainlink Releases CCIP 2.0, Allowing Enterprises to Add Custom Security Checks] According to CoinDesk, Chainlink released the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) 2.0 on September 28, marking a significant upgrade to its communication and cross-chain bridge infrastructure, enabling communication and fund transfers between different blockchains. The new version allows enterprises to add their own security checks on top of Chainlink's default network of 16 operator validators. CCIP 2.0 offers a similar validator option, where enterprises can run their own validators or hire external providers such as Infosys or Nethermind. Chainlink's network of 16 independent node operators will still verify every transaction. Existing Chainlink users have been automatically migrated to the new version.
