[Pendle: Stablecoin Supply Around $300 Billion, Nominal Trading Volume in Stable Pools Exceeds $6 Billion This Year]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on September 28, citing Pendle's official X account, the current stablecoin supply is approximately $300 billion. Standard Chartered projects it will reach $2 trillion by 2028, while Citibank estimates $1.9 trillion by 2030, with banks and payment networks preparing to enter the market. Pendle stated that even under JPMorgan's 'worst-case scenario' of merely doubling, the potential market for stablecoins could double within 1.5 years and grow tenfold within 4 years. This year, the nominal trading volume in Pendle's stable pools has already exceeded $6 billion, with new stablecoins like AUSD continuing to grow. Dune refers to this phenomenon as the 'Pendle Effect.'
