Bitget CEO Gracy Chen mentioned during today’s community livestream that after thorough investigation, the recent security incident was caused by hackers exploiting vulnerabilities in a third-party security product to steal internal network credential permissions. They then forged withdrawal commands to the wallet system, bypassing risk checks and executing abnormal transfers. The incident did not involve private key leaks, and cold wallets remain unaffected. Detailed technical information will be disclosed in a follow-up security report. Gracy stated that verified losses are covered by the protection fund, and Bitget plans to replenish the fund back to the $300 million benchmark within a week. BTC withdrawals have now resumed, while ETH, USDT, and other withdrawals will gradually resume according to the previously announced schedule. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/bitget-ceo-third-party-breach-internal-credentials-stolen-no-private-key-leak-69106
