THORChain responded to Bitget, stating that the network halt was solely implemented to protect the overall security of the protocol and is not a selective freezing mechanism targeting specific addresses or individual transactions. Previously, on September 24, Bitget experienced a security incident involving approximately $387.5 million, with some of the stolen funds later transferred cross-chain via THORChain. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen subsequently requested THORChain to refuse services to confirmed attacker addresses. THORChain also mentioned that during its own attack in May this year, which resulted in a loss of approximately $10.7 million, the attacker’s address was similarly not blacklisted, emphasizing that the protocol is designed to remain permissionless. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/thorchain-responds-bitget-network-pause-protects-protocol-security-69103
