If Thorchain were willing to freeze the funds: - First, use $10M to patch up Thorchain’s previous hole; - Then, drop another $10M as an airdrop to RUNE holders. Do you think Thorchain would still stick to their current stance? Appeal to their wallets, incentivize them with profits. Bribe the Thorchain team, the nodes, the token holders—bribe everyone. Even if it costs $20M, it’s still better than losing $100M worth of XRP here. Decentralization doesn’t mean “never change anything.” As long as consensus is reached → changes can still align with the strictest definitions of decentralization. Plus, bribery doesn’t break decentralization. Plenty of DeFi projects have vote-buying mechanisms baked into their protocols. If the XRP funds are recovered, BG could even send Thorchain a banner afterward that says “Best White Hat.” Wouldn’t Thorchain end up with both fame and fortune? But now? Great.
