[South Korea's Virtual Asset Trading Volume Drops Over 50% in the Past Year, Top 10% of Users Contribute 96% of Trading Volume] According to a report by Digital Asset, over the past year, although South Korea's virtual asset trading volume has decreased by more than 50%, the top 10% of users contributed over 96% of the total trading volume, indicating increased concentration of trading activity. Data submitted by the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) to the office of Park Hong-bae, a member of the Democratic Party, shows the trading concentration across exchanges in the first half of 2026 as follows: Upbit (95.6%), Bithumb (97.41%), Coinone (99.2%), Digital X (99.43%), and Gopax (97.61%). Trading concentration refers to the proportion of total trading volume on an exchange accounted for by the top 10% of users.
