Reviewing my trading thoughts:
Last week, I kept updating my short position on crude oil based on negotiation expectations. After all, it’s been a while since we’ve heard the sound of bombs. Now, during the negotiation period, crude oil is in a phase of fluctuating decline. The current situation is one of mutual probing, but Iran is more passive and continues with ceasefire talks. Trump, on the other hand, needs a deal he can present. As long as the guns remain silent, the agreement will keep being refined and modified, and it’s expected to be finalized in October. During this stalemate, the entry position can only be adjusted upward.
Meanwhile, bitcoin:native: After $BTC hit 87K, I stopped going long and started shorting near the top repeatedly. The reason is the previous consecutive large gap breakouts, where short liquidations drove the price up significantly. For another breakout to a new high, buying pressure will be hard to sustain in the short term. With the October rate hike expectations approaching, as of today, the probability of a rate hike is 65.9%. Let’s see if this week’s non-farm payroll data will strengthen or weaken that expectation.
From a technical perspective, the 1H and 4H charts are showing bearish trends, but the larger structure remains intact—it’s just a pullback within an uptrend. For this short position, I’m initially watching the support level around 82K. If it breaks, then I’ll look at the liquidity zone around 80-79K.
Gold solana:GoLDppdjB1vDTPSGxyMJFqdnj134yH6Prg9eqsGDiw6A: Since the beginning of the month, when it broke below 4300, there’s been a structural shift. At the time, confirmation was needed, and after breaking below again, it was confirmed. Currently, it’s still in a pullback phase. Gold will rise, but not yet—the current adjustment isn’t finished. This wave is expected to pull back to the 4085-4065 range for entry. Only below 4100 can we consider going long.
