[Kuehne+Nagel CEO Expects AI-Driven Freight Boom to Last Until 2029]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on September 26, Kuehne+Nagel Group projected that as major tech companies build data centers to address the artificial intelligence boom, its emerging business of providing logistics services for these companies and data centers will achieve at least three years of double-digit growth. Earlier this week, the Swiss freight giant announced a seven-year agreement to handle such operations for Amazon, pushing the company's stock price to a two-year high. Kuehne+Nagel CEO Stefan Paul stated that the company's clients include six of the so-called 'Big Seven' U.S. tech companies. Hyperscale enterprises and other companies are seeking end-to-end supply chain services that go beyond basic transportation, including vendor management, customs clearance, and on-site delivery. 'What we are seeing is that demand forecasts for the next three years are already locked in,' Paul said. 'So for 2027, 2028, and 2029, we already have a rough idea of how much they anticipate in terms of equipment and growth, which is still expected to achieve double-digit growth,' he said. (Jin10)
