This looks very bad for BTC!
BTC just dumped from $87,400 to $82,800 liquidating $1.1B in the past 48 hours alone!
But here's the important part:
Bitcoin now has $1.3B liquidity below at $80,000 - $83,000 and $2.7B above at $85,000 - $89,000. This means the HTF liquidity imbalance has now flipped back towards the upside, so another move higher is back in play again.
On the LTF, the clearest liquidity zones sit at $82,500 - $83,100 below and $85,000 - $86,000 above, making these the most likely levels to get swept today.
Whales have stacked bids around $82,000 - $83,500, while the bigger sell interest sits above between $85,000 - $90,000. This means there is clear support trying to hold below, but Bulls might struggle to clear the heavy sell walls above.
Meanwhile, spot demand has improved slightly after the dump, but overall the recovery still looks weak. In simple terms, Bulls got a bounce, but they still haven’t done enough to shift momentum properly.
In my last update, I said holding $84,700 would keep another $87,000+ attempt in play, while losing it would favour a deeper reset towards $82,000 - $83,000. Bitcoin lost that support and then dumped almost perfectly into the $82,800 area.
So to make things simple for you:
- $83.1k and $85k are now the two LTF magnets
- $2.7B above is now the bigger HTF liquidity target
- Hold $82.8k - $83k and a squeeze into $85k+ is still possible
- Reclaim $85k and momentum improves a lot; lose $82.5k and I’d expect another sweep lower
I’ll post any changes to my positioning and the key levels I’m watching in the free Telegram (link in bio).
