[U.S. Consumer Confidence Weakens, Inflation Expectations for the Next Year Rise to 4.6%] A survey by the University of Michigan shows that U.S. consumers' evaluation of their personal financial situation has dropped by about 10%, expectations for short-term business conditions have worsened, confidence among the Republican camp has fallen by 20% compared to January 2026, and the Democratic camp has declined by 13%.
