Wu Blockchain has learned that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin shared a newly released Solidity compiler, oksolc. Developer Henri stated that this compiler, written in Zig, can improve the compilation speed of some contracts by over 5 times while maintaining consistent bytecode. In testing, the full build time was reduced from around 10 minutes to 2 minutes, and the incremental build time after major changes dropped from about 700 seconds to 99 seconds.
