[Analysis: Binance Records Largest Single-Day BTC Net Outflow in 2023, Potentially Reducing Selling Pressure]
BlockBeats News, September 25 — CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost stated in a post that Bitcoin has recently entered a new phase of growth, distinct from previous rebounds. Since the July peak, BTC has risen approximately 45%, with this rally breaking through key structural levels and closing above $82,000 for several consecutive days.
Darkfost noted that during this rally, the accumulation trend of BTC has persisted, which is particularly evident in the flow of BTC funds on exchanges. Binance, which holds about 30% of the BTC accessible to all types of investors on trading platforms, has recently seen sustained net outflows of BTC. Over the past week, the average daily net outflow has been around 2,000 BTC.
Additionally, Binance recently recorded its largest single-day BTC net outflow in 2023, with over 13,800 BTC withdrawn in a single day, marking a three-year high. Over the past four days, Binance's BTC reserves have dropped from 705,000 BTC to 685,000 BTC, a decrease of approximately 20,000 BTC.
Darkfost explained that when BTC consistently flows out of exchanges, it indicates that some investors are opting to hold BTC themselves, a behavior typically associated with long-term holding. From a market mechanism perspective, a decline in exchange BTC balances also reduces potential selling pressure.
Darkfost further pointed out that such a sudden and large-scale outflow of funds may suggest that investors who previously expected Bitcoin to continue declining, as it did during past bear markets, are now experiencing FOMO (fear of missing out) and re-entering the market after the price increase. As Bitcoin continues to rise, similar large-scale fund movements may occur again. [Original Link]
