[Open Standard Updates Company Structure and Leadership Team, Bridge CEO Leaves Stripe to Serve as Full-Time CEO]
Open Standard has released an update on its company structure and leadership team. Coinbase, Mastercard, Shopify, Stripe, and Visa will join as initial founding partners. These partners will invest in the company and assist in establishing the OUSD supply, providing over $1 billion in liquidity for the recent launch. The company expects to add a limited number of founding partners soon. After OUSD goes live, founders and participating partners will be able to earn equity based on the supply and activity generated through their platforms. In the future, a board of directors representing shareholders will be formed by the founders. The company is committed to creating an internet-native currency, with its stablecoin Open USD (OUSD) designed for scenarios such as banking, cross-border payments, settlements, and institutional transactions. Additionally, Zach Abrams will serve as the company's full-time Chief Executive Officer.
