[Revolut Faces Another Data Breach This Month, Involving Third Party DriveWealth] According to a report by BeInCrypto on September 25, U.S. brokerage DriveWealth confirmed that its network was accessed without authorization due to a social engineering attack between September 4 and 5. This breach only involves historical customer records prior to Revolut's change in trading model. For the European Economic Area (including Ireland), data sharing of individual customer information will cease by December 2023, and recent users are not affected. The leaked data may include names, email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses, employment and identity information, as well as some account numbers. Passwords, payment card information, bank details, and identification documents were not affected. DriveWealth has directly contacted affected customers, and Revolut followed up with emails. Another incident earlier in September involving a spoofed government email affected approximately 680 customers.
