Just listened to @GracyBitget's live stream response for a bit, here’s a quick summary: 1/ The stolen funds are locked at $351.6 million. No further increase. 2/ All 19 hacker transfers involved hot wallets + warm wallets, no cold wallets. 3/ The root cause of the issue (reason for the theft) hasn’t been identified yet. What’s confirmed so far: 1) Hackers didn’t forge user information to withdraw funds. 2) Hackers didn’t obtain wallet private keys. 3) Hackers infiltrated Bitget’s system and executed withdrawals. —— This is why withdrawals are temporarily suspended, as resuming withdrawals before fully resolving the issue could lead to greater losses. 4/ Timeline for resuming withdrawals: Could be as fast as a few hours, or as slow as a few days. Currently uncertain. But "shouldn’t take weeks." 5/ The root cause and nature of this incident are different from the previous Bybit hack. This time, more chains and tokens are involved. The largest single stolen token is XRP, with over $100 million. There’s also a significant amount of USDT, USDT0, USDC, XAU, etc., converted into a total of $170 million worth of ETH. "Ethereum: The public chain hackers rely on for survival" remains its core positioning. https://(x.com)/Sea_Bitcoin/status/1945003199821140451
