Arbitrum One Implements PGA Transaction Ordering Mechanism to Replace Timeboost, Doubling Speed

Foresight News reports that Arbitrum has announced the adoption of Priority Gas Auction (PGA) on Arbitrum One to replace Timeboost. The fast data source, Fast Feed, serves as a supplement to PGA, transmitting transaction and ordering information in real-time as the sequencer adds transactions to active blocks, achieving a speed increase of up to twofold. Users can compete for higher transaction priority through EIP-1559 priority fees. Each block, approximately 250 milliseconds, includes two rounds of PGA, with each round lasting about 125 milliseconds. Fast Feed provides transaction and ordering data during block construction but does not affect transaction order or support frontrunning.
