[Coinbase Discloses Integration Progress After Acquiring Deribit: Over 100 USDC-Settled Contracts Launched]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on September 24, Coinbase Chief Business Officer Shan Aggarwal shared an update on the integration progress following the acquisition of the crypto options trading platform Deribit. He stated that the integration between the two parties is 'overall progressing well,' with several milestones achieved so far, including: launching over 100 new USDC-settled contracts across five market sectors, covering pre-IPO perpetual contracts, marking the largest perpetual contract expansion in Deribit's history; introducing stocks and ETFs for trading in the form of perpetual contracts for the first time; rolling out a new matching engine to enhance core trading infrastructure, enabling faster and more stable performance in high-volume trading environments while maintaining the user experience; and connecting Coinbase's spot liquidity to Deribit's spot trading. Shan Aggarwal added that there is still a significant amount of work to be done in the platform integration process, and more phased achievements will be announced in the future.
